ELC Roofing | Roofing Repairs | Weathervanes

Although called a weathervane, it is actually an instrument for showing just the direction of wind. Weathervanes are typically used as an architectural ornament on the highest point of a building.

Weathervanes often feature the traditional cockerel design with the four letters for each compass point.

At ELC Roofing we other many designs to suit either your trade, hobby, or just your favourite animal or vehicle for example.

We have recently erected a weathervane for one of our customers which was made using gold leaf, which you can view in our photos.

We also offer finials, pinnacles and other roofing ornaments.

We offer these services in Cambridge, Ely, Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury, Newmarket, Haverhill, Colchester, Ipswich, Chelmsford and all surrounding areas.

FACT: The word vane comes from the old English word fana meaning flag.

We are members of Trust a Trader (www.trustatrader.com).
